Tulips - My Threnody

..And the night falls once again,

I light the candles...

and as I look out the windows,

the silence and the darkness fill my heart with sorrow.

My body feels, so tired now,

and I hear her voice fading away.. .

the breeze and the cold rain...

and then I could hear a child cry from miles away.

I watch the moon and write about the past,

the tulips in the garden are so sad,

like a lonely bird I watch the night going by,

and I think of when your light would shine so bright,

about the child that once was mine,

and about the flowers that now have died.

..Et la nuit tombe à nouveau,

J'allume les bougies ...

et alors que je regarde par les fenêtres,

le silence et les ténèbres remplissent mon c?ur de chagrin.

Mon corps est tellement fatigué maintenant,

et j'entends sa voix disparaître ...

la brise et la pluie froide ...

puis j'ai pu entendre un enfant pleurer à des kilomètres de là.

Je regarde la lune et j'écris sur le passé,

les tulipes du jardin sont si tristes,

comme un oiseau solitaire je regarde la nuit passer,

et je pense à quand ta lumière brillerait si fort,

à propos de l'enfant qui était autrefois à moi,

et sur les fleurs qui sont maintenant mortes.
