Whenever the fiddler rosins the bow

My first and last thoughts are of home.

Et je me dirige vers Halifax pour voir ce qu'il y a à faire

Sur le chemin du travail et s'il n'y a rien là-bas

C'est Toronto à l'ouest, Dieu seul sait où \u003cbr />
Et il y a forcément des amis de chez moi.



1. Fin du printemps, les feuilles sont toutes vertes

Il y a des moutons sur la colline, un oiseau sur l'aile,

Par-dessus mon épaule, la dernière chose que j'ai vue

L'ancienne maison si patinée et grise.



2. Nous avons parlé jusqu'à trois heures, mon père et moi

Et les airs de violon coulaient comme le clair margurey

"N'oublie jamais qui tu es fils", m'a dit

et j'ai suivi mes frères loin.

3. Une chose que je sais, où que j'aille,

Mon c?ur est au Cap-Breton, 'serrez jamais si

Chaque fois que le violoniste colore l'arc

Mes premières et dernières pensées sont à la maison.
