Searching for diamonds in a sulphur mine,

leaning on props that are rotten,

hoping for anything, looking for a sign

that I am not forgotten.

Lost in a labyrinth of future mystery,

tracing my steps, all mistaken,

trusting to everything, praying it can be

that I am not forsaken.



I wait by the door, wondering

when you will come and keep me warm.

I pray for the end of the night,

hoping the light will still the storm

which presently betrays me;

helpless sea-monster stranded on the shore,

marooned in an ecstasy of waiting,

I yearn, although knowing that I shall dive no

more

in the tide already racing.

Recherche de diamants dans une mine de soufre,

s'appuyant sur des accessoires pourris,

en espérant quoi que ce soit, à la recherche d'un signe

que je ne suis pas oublié.

Perdu dans un labyrinthe de mystère futur,

retraçant mes pas, tous se trompent,

faire confiance à tout, le prier peut être

que je ne suis pas abandonné.



J'attends par la porte, me demandant

quand tu viendras me garder au chaud.

Je prie pour la fin de la nuit,

en espérant que la lumière apaisera la tempête

qui me trahit actuellement;

monstre marin impuissant échoué sur le rivage,

échoué dans une extase d'attente,

J'aspire, bien que sachant que je ne plongerai pas

plus

dans la marée déjà en course.
