The big bad bear was everywhere,
Things were so much simpler
Back then...
The lines were drawn and Tony Blair
Was nothing but a baby
In his pen...

With words that seemed so right,
You promised the Truth...
The red, white and blue
Came alive in you...

(but) Now... Superman is dead...

The elephant stepped on the mule-
He?ll do anything to rule
And we just stood and let him do

We still believed
That Superman would rule the day,
Treason would find a way-
I still had faith...
But Superman never showed up,
He stayed home that day,
Cowered in bed...
Now... Superman is dead...
