The Tale of the Sun and the Moon - Eric Herman

The Sun was in his bathing suit. The Moon in her pajamas.



They played all day until the two were called in by their mamas.



The Sun went home and climbed in bed. His mama sang a tune.



And soon the Sun was fast asleep and dreaming of the Moon.





The Moon decided not to go. Instead she stayed outside.



She danced and played and laughed and sang, til she was sleepy-eyed.







When morning came, the Sun arose and went outside to play.



But could not find his friend, the Moon, who slept inside all day.



So now these two are best of friends apart by dark and light.



The Sun turns in at evenfall. The Moon comes out at night.







The shining Moon sees no sunlight. The Sun sees no moonbeams.



But when they both are fast asleep, theyre in each others dreams

Le soleil était dans son maillot de bain. La Lune en pyjama.



Ils ont joué toute la journée jusqu'à ce que les deux soient appelés par leurs mamans.



Le soleil rentra chez lui et grimpa dans son lit. Sa maman a chanté un air.



Et bientôt le Soleil dormait profondément et rêvait de la Lune.





La Lune a décidé de ne pas y aller. Au lieu de cela, elle est restée dehors.



Elle a dansé, joué, ri et chanté, jusqu'à ce qu'elle ait les yeux endormis.







Le matin venu, le soleil se leva et sortit pour jouer.



Mais n'a pas pu trouver son ami, la Lune, qui a dormi à l'intérieur toute la journée.



Alors maintenant, ces deux-là sont les meilleurs amis séparés par l'obscurité et la lumière.



Le soleil se retourne à la tombée du jour. La Lune sort la nuit.







La Lune brillante ne voit pas la lumière du soleil. Le Soleil ne voit aucun rayon de lune.



Mais quand ils dorment tous les deux profondément, ils rêvent l'un de l'autre
