Rover - The Roches

someday i'm gonna get a dog

and the dog's gonna run free

and i won't need a collar or a leash

cause i'll be living in the country



and when somebody doesn't want to play

i'm gonna open up the door wide

and i'll be runnin' in the tall grass

with my own dog by my side



and when i find a secret hiding place

i'll make a soft pillow out of hay

and i'll share it with my happy dog

we will stay there for the whole day



i love to be free

that's the best thing about me

and there's a rover in the world now

with the same dream so we

will find our way home

when the colors of the sunset

i see them stretch across a big sky

that's a good feeling we get



and by the time i go to sleep at night

i'm ready for tomorrow as i doze

i got a warm cover over me

sleeping rover on my toes

un jour je vais avoir un chien

et le chien va courir librement

et je n'aurai pas besoin d'un collier ou d'une laisse

parce que je vais vivre dans le pays



et quand quelqu'un ne veut pas jouer

je vais ouvrir grand la porte

et je vais courir dans les hautes herbes

avec mon propre chien à mes côtés



et quand je trouve une cachette secrète

je ferai un oreiller moelleux avec du foin

et je vais le partager avec mon chien heureux

nous y resterons toute la journée



j'aime être libre

c'est la meilleure chose à propos de moi

et il y a un rover dans le monde maintenant

avec le même rêve donc nous

trouvera notre chemin vers la maison

quand les couleurs du coucher du soleil

je les vois s'étendre à travers un grand ciel

c'est un bon sentiment que nous obtenons



et au moment où je vais dormir la nuit

je suis prêt pour demain alors que je somnole

j'ai une couverture chaude sur moi

rover endormi sur mes orteils
