They put a parking lot on a piece of land

When the supermarket used to stand.

Before that they put up a bowling alley

On the site that used to be the local pally.

That's where the big bands used to come and play.

My sister went there on a Saturday.

Come dancing,

All her boyfriends used to come and call.

Why not come dancing, it's only natural?

Another Saturday, another date.

She would be ready but she's always make them wait.

In the hallway, in anticipation,

Ils ont mis un parking sur un terrain

Quand le supermarché était debout.

Avant cela, ils ont aménagé une piste de bowling

C'est là que les grands groupes venaient jouer.

Ma s?ur y est allée un samedi.

Viens danser,

Tous ses petits amis venaient appeler.

Pourquoi ne pas venir danser, c'est naturel?

Un autre samedi, une autre date.

Elle serait prête mais elle les fait toujours attendre.

Dans le couloir, en prévision,

Il ne savait pas que la nuit finirait par être frustrée.

Il finirait par faire exploser tout son salaire de la semaine

Le tout pour un câlin et un bisou sur la joue.

C'est comme ça qu'ils l'ont fait quand j'étais gamin,

Ma s?ur l'a toujours fait.

Ma s?ur aurait dû venir dans minuit,

Et ma mère s'asseyait toujours et attendait.

Ça finissait toujours dans une grande rangée

Par ma fenêtre je peux les voir au clair de lune,

Maintenant j'ai grandi et je joue dans un groupe,

Ses filles sortent, maintenant c'est à son tour d'attendre.

Elle sait qu'ils s'en sortent avec des choses qu'elle n'aurait jamais pu,

Mais si je lui ai demandé je me demande si elle le ferait,
