You have all read the wonderful stories

Of the countries far over the sea

From whence came our ancestors

To establish this land of the free

There are some folk who still like to travel

To see what they have over there

But when they go look, it's not like the book

And they find there is none to compare



With beautiful, beautiful Queensland

Out where the wild flowers grow (flowers grow)

We're proud of our beautiful climate

Where we never see ice or snow

You can live on the plains or the mountains

Or down where the sea breezes blow

And you're still in beautiful Queensland

The most wonderful state that I know



An old timer called the ?...............?

And the fiddle was playing three quarter

I held your hand with a new wedding band

While Nelly sang Alan Water

And even now when we're older dear

I still hold a sweet memory

Of our wedding ball and the bridal waltz

They played for you and me

Vous avez tous lu les merveilleuses histoires

Des pays au-dessus de la mer

D'où venaient nos ancêtres

Pour établir cette terre de libre

Il y a des gens qui aiment toujours voyager

Pour voir ce qu'ils ont là-bas

Mais quand ils vont chercher, ce n'est pas comme le livre

Et ils trouvent qu'il n'y a rien à comparer



Avec beau, beau Queensland

Là où poussent les fleurs sauvages (les fleurs poussent)

Nous sommes fiers de notre beau climat

Où nous ne voyons jamais de glace ou de neige

Vous pouvez vivre dans les plaines ou les montagnes

Ou en bas où souffle la brise de la mer

Et tu es toujours dans le magnifique Queensland

L'état le plus merveilleux que je connaisse



Un vieux temporisateur appelé le? ...............?

Et le violon jouait trois quarts

J'ai tenu ta main avec une nouvelle alliance

Pendant que Nelly chantait Alan Water

Et même maintenant, quand nous sommes plus âgés, cher

Je garde encore un doux souvenir

De notre bal de noces et de la valse nuptiale

Ils ont joué pour toi et moi
