Another Bert and Ernie Singalong

> [E. walks in with pot and plops it on B.'s head]

> E: Here Bert, try this on!

> B: Hey, hey, Ernie, what are you doing? Get that pot off my head! Why?

> E: Well haa, ya see Bert, a little while ago, I dropped and broke the

> cookie jar.

> B: Oh, Ernie, you didn't!

> E: Mmm hmmm.

B: Oh well, all right, so you broke the cookie jar, but what's it gotta do

with that pot there, huh?

E: Well you see, I had to put the cookies somewhere...

B: Yeah?

E: Bert, um... just a second. I... I... I'll show you, Bert.

B: [looks at camera] I don't understand.

E: [brings in sugar bowl with cookies] See, I broke the cookie jar and so I

had to put the cookies in the sugar bowl, see? [takes a taste of one]

B: Well... yeah, Ernie, but but if you put the cookies in the sugar bowl,

then where'd ya put the sugar?

E: Well, I'll show you, Bert! [famous Ernie hmm] Hmm hmm hmm [leaves with

bowl and Bert looks at camera]

B: Ya show me. [does the famous head tilt]

E: Ok, well you see, I put the sugar in the flower pot here.

B: In the flower pot?! Oh great... just great. Well _where'd_ you put the

flower that was growing there, huh?

E: Oh I'll show you, Bert! [takes away the pot]

B: Ya gonna show me again... I don't get this.

E: [brings in milk bottle and flower] Ya see, I had to plant this flower here

into this milk bottle, see... nicely planted, I watered it and everthing.

B: [Looking very stunned] [E. looks straight into camera all proud, shaking

his head about his nose] ERNIE!!!! [Shaking head]

E: [Calmly] Hmm?

B: Well now WHERE is the milk?!

E: Oh, I'll show you, Bert.

B: [E. leaves] Ya gonna show me where the milk is too. Oh Ernie, I ...

[looks at E. returning with a root beer bottle.. stunned]

E: See I put the milk into the, uh, soda bottle

B: [Gets close to E. in quiet voice gradually getting louder] Ernie... I'm

trying to be patient, but __where__ is the soda??

E: Oh just a second, Bert, I'll show you... [calmly as usual, Bert getting

more stunned and irritated gives out his famous]

B: Aaaaaaahhhh!

E: [Brings in the soda-filled fishbowl] It wasn't easy, but I put the soda in

the [straining] mmm fishbowl

B: In the fishbowl?! Ernie, this is CRAZY!! Now where are the fish?!?

E: Oh... well, I'll show you, Bert. [even calmer than before]

B: [stares into camera as E. leaves for a few seconds and ...] Ooohhhh,

Ernie, what are you doing now? [Mouth wider than ever in shock]

E: Oh, I gotta carry it out here, Bert... I put the fish in... to... the

cowboy hat, ya see.

B: [looks down into hat as fish squirts water in B.'s face] Oh, no... Eeeyah!

[wipes faces stands there with mouth firmly closed very angry]

E: [points calmly at fish in hat] Take it easy there, fella.

B: [angrily] Ernie, Ernie, that is MY cowboy hat...

E: Yeah, so? [VERY calmly]

B: But ya, you but the fish in it, Now what am I gonna do when I wanna play

cowboy?

E: Oh, umm, well [reaches for pot and puts it on B.'s head] Ride em cowboy,

Bert! [pats Bert on back] [E.'s patented laugh] Keheeheeheehee

[End music begins with Bert standing there as usual, and Ernie leaving.



There was one neat trick done in it, at the end when Ernie put the pot

on Bert's head (probably at the beginning.. which I didn't see). You

know how Ernie's hands are real and the person's arm go in at his

elbows, which are always below the counter/stage, but to get the pot

on the head, the hand person, had to make a quick .. nicely-done move

behind Bert and up with the pot.. with Elbow behind Bert so Ernie's

hand is up in the air with nothing showing

> B: Hé, hé, Ernie, qu'est-ce que tu fais? Enlève ce pot de ma tête! Pourquoi?

> E: Eh bien haa, tu vois Bert, il y a peu de temps, j'ai chuté et cassé le

> pot à biscuits.

> B: Oh, Ernie, tu ne l'as pas fait!

> E: Mmm hmmm.

B: Oh bien, d'accord, alors tu as cassé le pot à biscuits, mais qu'est-ce que ça doit faire

avec ce pot là, hein?

E: Eh bien tu vois, j'ai dû mettre les cookies quelque part ...

B: Ouais?

E: Bert, euh ... juste une seconde. Je ... je ... je vais te montrer, Bert.

B: [regarde la caméra] Je ne comprends pas.

E: [apporte un sucrier avec des biscuits] Voir, j'ai cassé le pot à biscuits et donc je

a dû mettre les biscuits dans le sucrier, tu vois? [en goûte un]

B: Eh bien ... ouais, Ernie, mais si tu mets les biscuits dans le sucrier,

alors où as-tu mis le sucre?

E: Eh bien, je vais te montrer, Bert! [célèbre Ernie hmm] Hmm hmm hmm [part avec

bol et Bert regarde la caméra]

B: Tu me montres. [le fameux inclinaison de la tête]

E: Ok, tu vois, j'ai mis le sucre dans le pot de fleur ici.

B: Dans le pot de fleurs?! Oh génial ... tout simplement génial. Eh bien, où avez-vous mis le

fleur qui poussait là-bas, hein?

E: Oh je vais te montrer, Bert! [enlève le pot]

B: Tu vas me montrer à nouveau ... Je ne comprends pas.

E: [apporte une bouteille de lait et une fleur] Tu vois, j'ai dû planter cette fleur ici

dans cette bouteille de lait, voyez ... joliment planté, je l'ai arrosé et tout.

B: [l'air très abasourdi] [E. regarde droit dans la caméra tout fier, tremblant

sa tête autour de son nez] ERNIE !!!! [Secouant la tête]

E: [Calmement] Hmm?

B: Eh bien maintenant OERE est le lait?!

E: Oh, je vais te montrer, Bert.

ÊTRE. feuilles] Tu vas me montrer où est le lait aussi. Oh Ernie, je ...

[regarde E. revenant avec une bouteille de bière de racine .. stupéfait]

E: Tu vois, j'ai mis le lait dans la, euh, bouteille de soda

B: [se rapproche de E. d'une voix calme, devient de plus en plus fort] Ernie ... je suis

essayant d'être patient, mais __où est le soda ??

E: Oh juste une seconde, Bert, je vais vous montrer ... [calmement comme d'habitude, Bert se

plus abasourdi et irrité donne son célèbre]

B: Aaaaaaahhhh!

E: [Apporte le bocal rempli de soda] Ce n'était pas facile, mais j'ai mis le soda dans

le bocal [tendu] mmm

B: Dans le bocal?! Ernie, c'est fou !! Maintenant où sont les poissons?!?

E: Oh ... eh bien, je vais vous montrer, Bert. [encore plus calme qu'auparavant]

B: [regarde la caméra pendant que E. s'en va pendant quelques secondes et ...] Ooohhhh,

Ernie, qu'est-ce que tu fais maintenant? [Bouche plus large que jamais sous le choc]

E: Oh, je dois le faire ici, Bert ... J'ai mis le poisson dedans ... au

chapeau de cowboy, tu vois.

B: [regarde le chapeau tandis que le poisson fait jaillir l'eau sur le visage de B.] Oh, non ... Eeeyah!

[essuie les visages se tient là avec la bouche fermement fermée très en colère]

E: [montre calmement le poisson dans le chapeau] Vas-y doucement, mon gars.

B: [en colère] Ernie, Ernie, c'est MON chapeau de cowboy ...

E: Ouais, alors? [TRÈS calmement]

B: Mais toi, toi mais le poisson dedans, maintenant qu'est-ce que je vais faire quand je veux jouer

cowboy?

E: Oh, umm, eh bien [atteint le pot et le met sur la tête de B.] Ride em cowboy,

Bert! [tapote Bert dans le dos] [rire breveté d'E.] Keheeheeheehee

[La musique de fin commence avec Bert debout comme d'habitude et Ernie partant.



Il y avait une astuce bien faite à la fin quand Ernie a mis le pot

sur la tête de Bert (probablement au début .. que je n'ai pas vu). Vous

savoir comment les mains d'Ernie sont réelles et le bras de la personne entrer dans son

coudes, qui sont toujours en dessous du compteur / stade, mais pour obtenir le pot

sur la tête, la personne à la main, devait faire un mouvement rapide et bien fait

derrière Bert et avec le pot .. avec Elbow derrière Bert donc Ernie's

la main est en l'air sans rien montrer
