Leviathan - Covenant

I watch minutes grow to hours, and how seasons builds the ages,



every winter dies in sunlight, only to be born again



and the rainfall feeds the forests while the lightning strikes the trees



turning giants into dust fertile ashes on the ground







i see them going down to the water



where they embrace the silent waves



slowly they're swallowed by the water



and their breath ascending to the sky







i see them now floating in the water



carried away, carried away







i see wasteland turn into gardens watching oceans giving birth



to fragile little creatures born to grow and multiply



and the children of the children of the firstborn claims the land



building fences for protection from their brothers greedy grasp







i watch kingdom rise and crumble and the nations come and go



only new names for the same things once the limits has been reached



now i see them lose their intrest in trhe deeds that have been done



and the wisdom that's been found, as they return whence they came

chaque hiver meurt au soleil, pour naître de nouveau



et les précipitations alimentent les forêts tandis que la foudre frappe les arbres



transformer les géants en poussière de cendres fertiles au sol







je les vois descendre à l'eau



où ils embrassent les vagues silencieuses



lentement, ils sont avalés par l'eau



et leur souffle montant vers le ciel







je les vois maintenant flotter dans l'eau

je vois des friches se transformer en jardins en regardant les océans accoucher



aux petites créatures fragiles nées pour grandir et se multiplier



et les enfants des enfants du premier-né réclament la terre



la construction de clôtures pour se protéger de leurs frères la prise avide







je regarde le royaume se lever et s'effondrer et les nations vont et viennent



seulement de nouveaux noms pour les mêmes choses une fois les limites atteintes



maintenant je les vois perdre leur intérêt pour les actes qui ont été faits



et la sagesse qui a été trouvée, quand ils reviennent d'où ils sont venus
