I love your little Green Stamps.

I took collecting Green Stamps.

I love the way they look.



Oh how I love to pick them.

I pick them up, and lick them.

I lick them, then I stick them

In my brown Green Stamp book.



All day and night I'm dreaming.

I'm dreaming of redeeming

My Green Stamps for a toaster,

So gleaming and deluxe.



Oh how it will thrill me,

And please me and fulfill me,

To know my toaster only cost me

Fourteen hundred bucks.



I drive up to the market.

I stop my car and park it.

I buy a lot of strange things

Of which I've never heard.



I buy, though it's not urgent,

Two truckloads of detergent,

Three hundred pounds of bird seed,

Though I don't have a bird.



Some extract of vanilla,

Enough to feed Godzilla.

Then I'll trade all my Green Stamps

For something I can drive.



A car is what I hope for,

What I bought all that soap for.

They promise me the first Studebaker

Faites-moi plaisir avec vos tampons verts.

J'adore tes petits tampons verts.

J'ai pris des tampons verts.

J'adore leur apparence.



Oh comme j'aime les choisir.

Je les ramasse et les lèche.

Je les lèche, puis je les colle

Dans mon livre de timbres vert brun.



Toute la journée et toute la nuit, je rêve.

Je rêve de racheter

Mes tampons verts pour un grille-pain,

Si brillant et luxueux.



Oh comment ça me fera vibrer,

Et me faire plaisir et me réaliser,

Connaître mon grille-pain ne m'a coûté que

Je monte sur le marché.

J'arrête ma voiture et je la gare.

J'achète beaucoup de choses étranges

Dont je n'ai jamais entendu parler.



J'achète, mais ce n'est pas urgent,

Deux camions de détergent,

Trois cents livres de graines pour oiseaux,

Bien que je n'aie pas d'oiseau.



Un extrait de vanille,

Assez pour nourrir Godzilla.

Ensuite, je vais échanger tous mes timbres verts

Pour quelque chose que je peux conduire.



Une voiture est ce que j'espère,

Pourquoi j'ai acheté tout ce savon.
