Beside a New Guinea Waterfall

One bright and sunny day

Beside his shattered P-51

A young pursuiter lay.



His parachute hung from a nearby tree

He was not yet quite dead

So listen to the very last words

The young pursuiter said:



"Oh! l'm going to a better land

Where everything is right

Where whisky grows on telegraph poles

Play poker every night.



We haven't got a thing to do

But sit around and sing

Where all our crews are women

Oh! Death where is thy sting?"

Une journée lumineuse et ensoleillée

Un jeune poursuivant était couché.



Son parachute était suspendu à un arbre à proximité \u003cbr />
Il n'était pas encore tout à fait mort

Alors écoutez les derniers mots

Le jeune poursuivant a déclaré:



"Oh! Je vais dans un meilleur pays

Où tout va bien

Où le whisky pousse sur les poteaux télégraphiques

Jouez au poker tous les soirs.



Nous n'avons rien à faire

Mais asseyez-vous et chantez

Où tous nos équipages sont des femmes

Oh! La mort où est ton aiguillon? "
