DON'T GO IN THEM LION'S CAGE TONIGHT!

A mother once she had a lovely daughter,

The mother was an actress on the stage;

She traveled with a troop of awful lions,

And every night went in them lions' cage.

One night the daughter had a premonition,

That everything that night would not be right--

And so she told her mother, in the kitchen,

"Don't go in them lions' cage tonight!"



cho: Don't go in them lion's cage tonight, Mother

Them lions are ferocious and they bight!

And in their angry fits, they could tear you all to bits

So don't go in them lions cage, tonight!



The mother laughed " Ha! Ha!" to hear this warning

That unto her her daughter tried to give,

Said she "I do not fear them awful lions

Not one of them could make me cease to live!"

She went into that cage of awful lions

The lions were ferocious as could be.

"Alas!" she cried, when one strode up and bit 'er,

"I now recall what daughter said to me."

"Oh who will save my mother" cried the daughter,

"By lions she is being bit and et!"

"I will!" replied a young man from the gallery,

"I'll save your mother from them brutes, you bet!"

He stepped into that cage and grabbed the mother

From lion biting she was almost dead,

"Here is your ma" he said to her, and kissed her

For he the maiden loved and soon did wed.

house, the assembled guests, as the happy couple walked up the

aisle, sang, as one..."

Une mère une fois qu'elle a eu une belle fille,

La mère était une actrice sur la scène;

Elle a voyagé avec une troupe de lions horribles,

Et chaque nuit est allée dans la cage des lions.

Une nuit, la fille a eu une prémonition,

Que tout ce soir-là ne serait pas bien ...

Et donc elle a dit à sa mère, dans la cuisine,

"N'entre pas dans la cage des lions ce soir!"

Ces lions sont féroces et ils battent!

Et dans leurs crises de colère, ils pourraient tous vous déchirer

Alors n'allez pas dans la cage des lions, ce soir!



La mère a ri "Ha! Ha!" entendre cet avertissement

Que sa fille a essayé de lui donner,

Elle a dit "Je ne crains pas ces horribles lions

Aucun d'eux ne pouvait me faire cesser de vivre! "

Elle est allée dans cette cage de lions affreux

Les lions étaient aussi féroces que possible.

"Hélas!" cria-t-elle, quand on s'approcha et mordit,

"Je me souviens maintenant de ce que ma fille m'a dit."

"Oh qui sauvera ma mère", a pleuré la fille,

"Par les lions, elle est mordue et ainsi de suite!"

"Je vais!" a répondu un jeune homme de la galerie,

"Je sauverai ta mère de ces brutes, tu paries!"

Il est entré dans cette cage et a attrapé la mère

De lion mordant, elle était presque morte,

"Voici ta maman" lui dit-il et l'embrassa

Car il la jeune fille aimait et se maria bientôt.



(parlé: et au mariage, avec à peine un ?il sec dans le

maison, les invités réunis, alors que l'heureux couple montait le

bas-côté, a chanté, comme un seul ... "
