We'll get the ferry out from Roonagh

In both the bars

Because there's no guards

To take our names and send us home.

Les étoiles d'été sont dans le ciel

Nous ferons sortir le ferry de Roonagh

Et dis au revoir à tous nos soucis

Et nous irons danser au ceili

On va s'embrasser sur le brin

Prenez nos vêtements au clair de lune

Main dans la main trempant dans la peau

Et nous commencerons à boire au crépuscule

Continuez jusqu'à l'aube

Dans les deux bars

Parce qu'il n'y a pas de gardes

Pour prendre nos noms et nous renvoyer chez nous.

Je me lasse de la ville

Il semble que tant de choses ont changé \u003cbr />
Direction la maison de Nora Dalys

Où elle a marché \u003cbr />
Il n'a jamais plu

Alors vous me rencontrerez sur Clare Island

Et s'il y a des chevaux blancs sauvages et grands

Et la houle roule dans la baie

Je m'en fiche si le bateau ne peut pas naviguer

Bien sûr, nous rentrerons à la maison

Un autre jour

(les habitants disent "en" sur l'île et sur le continent mais la chanson semble juste du point de vue des touristes)
