I felt in need of some loving

So I sat down on a wall

I tried to find a reason for living

But I couldn't find a reason at all

So I owned up to my maker

And I started to say a prayer

I waited for an answer

But there wasn't anybody there



I thought there should have been someone

But I wasn't quite sure who

It finished me to find there was no-one

That I could take my troubles to

So I knelt down by my bedside

And I started to say a prayer

It was when I asked for nothing

I could feel that there was somebody there



I'm looking still, but it's easy

'cos I know which way to go

It doesn't matter how long it takes me

'cos there's someone there to help me who knows

All the things that I am after

All the loving that I want to share

It's so hard but I don't mind

'cos there really is somebody there

Je me sentais dans le besoin de quelque amour

Alors je me suis assis sur un mur

J'ai essayé de trouver une raison de vivre

Mais je n'ai pas trouvé de raison du tout

J'ai donc appartenu à mon créateur

Et j'ai commencé à dire une prière

J'ai attendu une réponse

Mais il n'y avait personne là-bas



Je pensais qu'il aurait dû y avoir quelqu'un

Mais je ne savais pas trop qui

Ça m'a fini de découvrir qu'il n'y avait personne

Que je pourrais prendre mes problèmes à \u003cbr />
Alors je me suis agenouillé près de mon chevet

Et j'ai commencé à dire une prière

C'est quand je n'ai rien demandé \u003cbr />
Je pouvais sentir qu'il y avait quelqu'un



Je cherche toujours, mais c'est facile

parce que je sais où aller

Peu importe le temps qu'il me faut

parce qu'il y a quelqu'un pour m'aider qui sait

Toutes les choses que je recherche

Tout l'amour que je veux partager

C'est si dur mais ça ne me dérange pas

parce qu'il y a vraiment quelqu'un là-bas
