'i'd been wandering around manhattan for a couple of days, kinda lost; suddenly i found myself in grand central station. i looked up at the board: there it was -- 'last train to niagara 1:15': i just had to get on it. i had to get up there and find the answers ...'

I was heading into danger, i was climbing up the walls

I was twice removed from yesterday, but halfway through next week

The tracks were humming harder now, the room began to sway

The music turned much louder now, as the ceiling flew away ( awsop, asd)

A crowd of drunken sailor boys came in upon the sea

The captain wanted action fast, the crowd was getting mean

Then i smoked another cigarette, and fixed another drink







When you're out there in deep water, you just can't afford to sink

I was halfway through the looking glass, halfway up to mars

It was getting close to morning time, somewhere 'neath the stars

Just then a passing mermaid came and took me by the hand-aca

J'errais dans Manhattan depuis quelques jours, un peu perdu; tout à coup je me suis retrouvé dans la grande gare centrale. J'ai levé les yeux vers le tableau: il était là - dernier train pour Niagara 1:15: il fallait juste que je monte dessus. je devais monter là-haut et trouver les réponses ... '

Je me dirigeais vers le danger, je grimpais sur les murs

Je me sentais un peu vide, un peu sombre

J'ai été retiré deux fois d'hier, mais à mi-chemin de la semaine prochaine



Eh bien, j'ai branché la radio et j'ai tourné le cadran

Je cherchais l'accord manquant, je l'avais manqué pendant un moment

Puis ils ont joué une chanson d'il y a longtemps, une image à travers la vitre

Les pistes bourdonnaient plus fort maintenant, la pièce commençait à se balancer

La musique est devenue beaucoup plus forte maintenant, alors que le plafond s'envolait (awsop, asd)

Une foule de matelots ivres est arrivée sur la mer

Le capitaine voulait de l'action rapide, la foule devenait méchante

Puis j'ai fumé une autre cigarette et préparé une autre boisson

J'étais à mi-chemin du miroir, à mi-chemin de mars

Il approchait de l'heure du matin, quelque part sous les étoiles
