The Story - Pat McGee

The first time he saw her she was out among the crowds,

she was sitting at the table, pouring beer from a spout.

He catches her eye from across the bar,

he wouldn't even bring himself to go that far.

The next time he saw her she was dancing by his side,

the band was driving and they were along for the ride.

He bought her a beer and didn't think about why,

it was fateful night that they realized why.



Now he pulls up to her doorstep he can't believe his eyes, she's

standing in the middle with his heart right inside.

And he tells her he loves her before they even tough,

it's been far too long though it don't seem that much.



She flies down to see him, and he's waiting at the gate,

they led seperate lives, could this have been fate?

She comes through the doorway, with bags in her hand,

her eyes search the waiting crowds just to find her man.

La première fois qu'il l'a vue, elle était parmi la foule,

elle était assise à table, versant de la bière à partir d'un bec verseur.

Il attire son attention de l'autre côté du bar,

il ne voulait même pas aller aussi loin.

Ce qui se passe circule ou alors ils disent,

quand nous rencontrerons-nous un autre jour.

Ce qui se passe ne se dit pas,

cela aurait pu arriver n'importe quel autre jour.





La prochaine fois qu'il l'a vue, elle dansait à ses côtés,

le groupe était au volant et ils étaient de la partie.

Il lui a acheté une bière et n'a pas pensé pourquoi,

c'était la nuit fatidique qu'ils ont compris pourquoi.



Maintenant, il s'approche de sa porte, il n'en croit pas ses yeux, elle est

debout au milieu avec son c?ur à l'intérieur.

Et il lui dit qu'il l'aime avant même qu'ils ne soient durs,

cela fait beaucoup trop longtemps, mais cela ne semble pas beaucoup.



Elle vole pour le voir, et il attend à la porte,

ils ont mené des vies séparées, cela aurait-il pu être le destin?

Elle arrive par la porte, avec des sacs à la main,

ses yeux scrutent les foules qui attendent juste pour trouver son homme.
