I was the boy with the angel's eyes

And the blush in surprise

When you hold my hand in full view

Now I'm so wrecked that my eyes bleed

Watch me recede

Nails curl back

From the quick as they

Curl with my lips

Standing limp in the pool of the light

So callous and cruel

Bones are piercing me through

And the shadow of you

Is the shadow of my former self

A quick recollection and smile for old times

Sometimes I feel like I'm being unkind

Skintight yet sallow

Saddened by the shallow

Reaching for the glow

At the end of the tunnel

Somewhere up the ladder stands

I shout as the car glides

Over the kerb to the wall

And the hiss of the steam is the siren

Drawing me onto the rocks

Always as ever in no man's land

With my driver slumped over my wheel

Souviens-toi de moi

J'étais le garçon aux yeux d'ange

Et le rougissement de surprise

Quand tu tiens ma main bien en vue

Maintenant je suis tellement détruite que mes yeux saignent

Regarde-moi reculer

Les ongles se recourbent

Du rapide comme ils

Boucle avec mes lèvres

Debout mou dans la piscine de la lumière

Si dur et cruel

Les os me transpercent

Et l'ombre de toi

Est l'ombre de mon ancien moi

Un souvenir rapide et un sourire pour les temps anciens

Parfois j'ai l'impression d'être méchant

Légère mais jaunâtre

Attristé par le peu profond

Atteindre l'éclat

Au bout du tunnel

Quelque part sur l'échelle se dresse

Je crie alors que la voiture glisse

Sur le trottoir jusqu'au mur

Et le sifflement de la vapeur est la sirène

Me dessinant sur les rochers

Toujours comme jamais dans le no man's land

Avec mon chauffeur affalé sur ma roue
