O PERFECT LOVE - Christian Prayers

O perfect Love, all human thought transcending,

Lowly we kneel in prayer before Thy throne,

That theirs may be the love which knows no ending,

Whom Thou forevermore dost join in one.



O perfect Life, be Thou their full assurance,

Of tender charity and steadfast faith,

Of patient hope and quiet, brave endurance,

With childlike trust that fears nor pain nor death.



Grant them the joy which brightens earthly sorrow;

Grant them the peace which calms all earthly strife,

And to lifes day the glorious unknown morrow

That dawns upon eternal love and life

O Amour parfait, toute pensée humaine transcendant,

Nous nous agenouillons modestement en prière devant ton trône,

Que leur amour soit sans fin,

Qui tu rejoins pour toujours.



Ô Vie parfaite, soyez leur pleine assurance,

D'une tendre charité et d'une foi inébranlable,

D'espoir patient et d'une endurance calme et courageuse,

Avec une confiance enfantine qui ne craint ni douleur ni mort.



Accordez-leur la joie qui illumine la douleur terrestre;

Accordez-leur la paix qui calme tous les conflits terrestres,

Et au jour de la vie le glorieux lendemain inconnu

Qui naît sur l'amour éternel et la vie
