One day I saw a man

dressed in rags, with a staff in his hand

begging for a penny to survive



How poor a man can be

I gave him hospitality

a room, a bed and lots of food to eat



Still I hear his last few words

"I can never return what you've done

but heaven will remember and repay"



Fifty years had gone since I saw him

I was dying and I'd soon be dead

Three angels stood in front of my bed



The first one she said to me, don't be afraid

I'll give you immortality and grace for your soul

The second had eyes of gold, gave me my wings

The third gave all wisdom an angel could give

.. to me



I joined with my destiny

I knew I was born again, an angel to be

A vision beyond my dreams, called me by name

So in devotion I spread my wings, to heaven I had came

.. to stay

Un jour, j'ai vu un homme

vêtu de chiffons, avec un bâton à la main

mendier un sou pour survivre



Comment un homme peut être pauvre

Je lui ai donné l'hospitalité \u003cbr />
une chambre, un lit et beaucoup de nourriture à manger



J'entends toujours ses derniers mots

"Je ne pourrai jamais rendre ce que tu as fait

mais le ciel se souviendra et remboursera "



Cinquante ans s'étaient écoulés depuis que je l'avais vu

J'étais en train de mourir et je serais bientôt mort

Trois anges se tenaient devant mon lit



La première qu'elle m'a dit, n'ayez pas peur

Je te donnerai l'immortalité et la grâce pour ton âme

Le second avait des yeux d'or, m'a donné mes ailes

Le troisième a donné toute la sagesse qu'un ange pouvait donner

.. pour moi



J'ai rejoint mon destin

Je savais que je suis né de nouveau, un ange pour être

Une vision au-delà de mes rêves, m'a appelé par son nom

Donc, avec dévotion, j'ai déployé mes ailes, au paradis j'étais venu
