I dreamed last night that I was a tiger in the jungle
But I was a big bad tiger, for a lion killed me
And then I was an elephant, a great big elephant
There wasn't anything I couldn't do
Till they caught and they brought me to a zoo
So I dreamed I was an alligator
-Crocodile?
-No, alligator!
With a great big mouth
And four very funny little legs
Which are no good for dancing
So, then I was a dancing bear
And I was doing my dancing where the bears dance
But I was sneezing,
'Cause I was a dancing polar bear
And it was freezing
Then I dreamed I was a giraffe
I looked so ridiculous I wanted to laugh
But giraffes can't talk,
So how can they laugh?
Then I woke up
And I was not a tiger,
Or and elephant,
I was not an alligator.
-Crocodile?
-No, alligator!
I was not a dancing bear or a tall giraffe
I was only me...And that's the way I'll be!
Oh, that's the way I'll be
I enjoy being an oyster!

J'ai rêvé hier soir que j'étais un tigre dans la jungle
Mais j'étais un grand méchant tigre, car un lion m'a tué
Et puis j'étais un éléphant, un très grand éléphant
Je ne pouvais rien faire
Jusqu'à ce qu'ils attrapent et m'amènent au zoo
Alors j'ai rêvé que j'étais un alligator
-Crocodile?
-Non, alligator!
Avec une grande grande bouche
Et quatre petites jambes très drôles
Qui ne sont pas bons pour danser
Alors j'étais un ours dansant
Et je faisais ma danse où les ours dansent
Mais j'éternuais,
Parce que j'étais un ours polaire dansant
Et c'était glacial
Puis j'ai rêvé que j'étais une girafe
J'avais l'air tellement ridicule que je voulais rire
Mais les girafes ne peuvent pas parler,
Alors, comment peuvent-ils rire?
Puis je me suis réveillé
Et je n'étais pas un tigre,
Ou et éléphant,
Je n'étais pas alligator.
-Crocodile?
-Non, alligator!
Je n'étais pas un ours dansant ou une grande girafe
Je n'étais que moi ... Et c'est comme ça que je serai!
Oh, c'est comme ça que je serai
J'aime être une huître!
