The Seventh Seal - Aphrodites Child

And when the lamb

opened the next two seals,

we saw the souls,

we saw the martyrs,

we heared them crying,

we heared them shouting,

they were dressed in white,

they'd been told to wait.



The sun was black,

the moon was red,

the stars were falling,

the earth was trembling.



And then a crowd

impossible to number

carrying flowers,

shouted amid

the hotless sun

the lightless moon

the windless earth

the colourless sky :



"How much longer

will we suffer from hunger?

How much longer

will we suffer from thirst?"



And when the lamb

opened the seventh seal,

silence covered the sky

Et quand l'agneau

ouvert les deux prochains sceaux,

nous avons vu les âmes,

nous avons vu les martyrs,

nous les avons entendus pleurer,

nous les avons entendus crier,

ils étaient vêtus de blanc,

on leur avait dit d'attendre.



Le soleil était noir,

la lune était rouge,

les étoiles tombaient,

la terre tremblait.



Et puis une foule

impossible de numéroter

portant des fleurs,

cria au milieu de

le soleil sans chaleur

la lune sans lumière

la terre sans vent

le ciel incolore:



"Combien de temps

allons-nous souffrir de la faim?

Combien de temps

allons-nous souffrir de la soif? "



Et quand l'agneau

a ouvert le septième sceau,

le silence couvrait le ciel
