The White Swan - Amorphis

I set out on a longest road
to seek the answers from Death
I set out to the black sacred stream
to seek out and shoot a white swan

On desolate and stony paths
from a mountain to a vale
I reached the shore and saw it come
into my view, the swan

I took the arrow and raised my bow
I aimed below the graceful neck
under the white of it's breast
inside the red of it's heart

The surface of the river calm and black
reflects the sky, the pale moon
and there a glimpse caught of myself
I'm shattered, the vision is ruined

An arrow from the water
a serpent rips my mind
into the black river of Death
with a slash across my heart

My last sight a white swan
behind the swan a starless sky
under the sky a coal black river
reflected a bone white moon

Je pars sur une route plus longue
chercher les réponses de la mort
Je suis parti vers le ruisseau sacré noir
chercher et tirer sur un cygne blanc

Sur des chemins désolés et caillouteux
d'une montagne à une vallée
J'ai atteint le rivage et je l'ai vu venir
à mon avis, le cygne

J'ai pris la flèche et j'ai levé mon arc
Je visais sous le cou gracieux
sous le blanc de sa poitrine
à l'intérieur du rouge de son c?ur

La surface de la rivière calme et noire
reflète le ciel, la lune pâle
et là un aperçu de moi
Je suis brisé, la vision est ruinée

Une flèche de l'eau
un serpent me déchire
dans le fleuve noir de la mort
avec une barre oblique dans mon c?ur

Ma dernière vue un cygne blanc
derrière le cygne un ciel sans étoiles
sous le ciel une rivière de charbon noir
reflète une lune blanche d'os
