We took for granted a lot, and still I say, it could have kept on growing,

Cela a commencé comme une chanson, nous avons commencé tranquillement et lentement sans surprise,

Puis un matin, je me suis réveillé pour réaliser que nous avons une bonne chose en cours.

Ce n'est pas que rien ne s'est mal passé, un moment de colère bien sûr, mais juste quelques-uns,

Et seulement quelques instants plus parce que nous savions que nous avions une bonne chose en cours.

Et si je voulais trop, était-ce une telle erreur?

La moitié du temps tu n'en as jamais voulu assez, oh réveille-toi, je n'en fais pas un crime,

Et pendant que ça avance, vous prenez pour acquis que l?amour s?épuise,

Nous tenions beaucoup pour acquis, et je dis toujours que cela aurait pu continuer de croître,

Au lieu de simplement continuer, nous avons eu une bonne chose en cours, en cours, parti.
